Program Offerings
Private lessons and semi-private (2 riders) are available in eight- (8-) week packages. (Group sessions are not available at this time because of government-mandated Covid protocols.) Arrangements can be made for an “Intro to Equines” class for persons or small groups who wish to learn more about equine activities. This all-inclusive, 1½ hour class is a wonderful introduction to the world of horses.
Our riders include persons who have Down Syndrome, autistic spectrum disorders, physical impairments, ADD/ADHD, Prader-Willi, learning disabilities, Fragile-X Syndrome, Tourettes Syndrome, visual and hearing impairments. All I.E.T.’s riders are evaluated prior to placement in any of our classes. All lessons are carefully tailored to meet the individual’s ability. |

PROGRAMS FAQ:
Q: What should riders wear?
Mary Romney will be calling all Bridges riders to schedule regular lesson times (201-264-7376). This number is only for scheduling.
- All riders must wear long pants, protective footwear (shoes or boots with heels -- no sneakers!) and a certified riding helmet. Helmets are available at the stable for those who need to borrow one.
- Masks will be required for riders and parents/caregivers.
- A registration health form, emergency form and waiver are required for all riders annually. Please obtain these forms from Bridges, download from our website, or from our office at Silver Rock Farm.
- If you are going to miss your lesson, please call 24 hours in advance to leave a message. In an emergency, if you must cancel a lesson with less than 24 hours' notice, please still call us. Lessons require an instructor, volunteers and of course a horse so PLEASE do your best to let us know ahead of time. All calls regarding cancellations, makeups, or other questions should be directed to 845-735-2042.
